The international competition AFRO - ASIAN IOOC is an innovative concept for evaluating and showcasing olive oils that are at the highest quality levels worldwide, aiming to present them to African, Asian and international markets looking for exceptional quality olive oils.
The annual edition of the international competition AFRO - ASIAN IOOC is held in a different capital city of an Asian or African country. For 2023, it was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 7 to 11 June 2023, with great interest from the international olive sector. Hundreds of olive oils from many olive producing countries participated with a very high level of quality.
AFRO - ASIAN IOOC is officially recognized by the EVOOWR global ranking of olive oils, for the standards and tasting methods applied.
The tasting of olive oils is carried out by specialized olive oil tasters (expert panel tasters) of international prestige and from many countries of the world, exclusively with the blind tasting method, based on extremely strict criteria.
After the initial analysis, the panel of expert judges conducts an individual assessment of each olive oil sample in continuous phases, in order to conclude at the final ranking of the olive oils and the overall score.
On 13/06/2023, the announcement of the results of AFRO - ASIAN IOOC 2023 took place, where Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were honored with 7 awards in total for their 7 participating olive oils.
