A particularly great honorable distinction for Sakellaropoulos Organic Estates at the 1st TASTE OLYMP AWARDS GR 2016, which consists of a competition specialising in the professional tasting of food and drink from distinctive judges and executive chefs.
It took place in Athens, at the Divani Caravel Hotel on the 28th and 29th of May, being a first time combination of the best producers of food and drink from Greece and abroad, in a unique organisation with the main theme being the tasting of their products,
The products were tasted by a number of panel judges, with the panel leader being Konstantino Mouzaki-Chef Europe 2015, Director Gastronomy Club UNESCO, member WACS, and members of the judging committee being: Ilias Iosifelis-Executive Chef, Evanthia Vonazounta- World Executive Chef Critic, World Association of Chefs Societies, Leuteris Karantanis- Chef at the Hilton for 25 years, Nikos Daoutis- Executive Chef, Costas Kovaios-Chef de Cuisine, Lazaros Kolaxis- Sous Chef at the Officer's Club, Marina Pouliou-food and diet technician, Pavlos Alexandrou- President of Tasting and Gastronomy Association.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Estates participated with 8 of their limited edition organic-gourmet products, accumulated a very high score and thus were honored with 8 awards (1 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze Awards), with one of the products awarded being in the top 20.
