Table olives with the most health beneficial ingredients worldwide

Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms are honored to announce the new scientific data found in their commercial types of olives, after research and analysis of the University of Athens (Department of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmacognosy and Natural Product Chemistry) working with World Olive Center. They showed that these olives have shown the highest concentration of tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol, compare to all the other commercial types of table olives, that have been analyzed from 2005 till now, worldwide.


Results – Sakellaropoulos Organic Farm’s Olives

Up to 1112 μg/Kg Tyrosol and up to 1690 μg/Kg Hydroxytyrosol (attached are all the official reports for all the olives types)

The mean value of the rest commercial olive samples analyzed so far is 134 μg/Kg of Tyrosol and 244 μg/Kg of Hydroxytyrosol

Note: Tyrosol and Hydroxytyrosol are compounds that are attributed with antioxidant and cardioprotective properties. 

Conclusion
The daily consumption of 2-4 grams of the analyzed samples contain more that 5mg of hydroxytyrosol and tyrosol and equal to the consumption of 20 gr of olive oil that protect from blood lipid oxidation, according to EU Regulation 432 / 2012. To make it simple, we would say that the consumption of 5 of these olives offer a larger amount of the substance limit set by EU Reg. 432/2012.

The analysis were carried out with the NMR Method (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) discovered by Dr. Magiatis Prokopis team at the University of Athens and can measure the concentration of such health beneficiary substances.
