A unique distinction at an international level, with 10 awards in 10 participations for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms from Sparta, Laconia, was noted in the TerraOlivo International Olive Oil Competition 2020, along with the achievement of a world record of 203 awards for an olive oil producer that produces and packages exclusively their own organic olive products!
This international competition took place in the city of Jerusalem in Israel from June 29 to July 1, 2020. It has very high quality criteria for the selection and award of olive oils, applying evaluation standards according to the methods set by the International Olive Oil Council and is ranked among the three largest competitions, with the high score of 9/10, based on the EVOOWR world ranking.
The tasting of olive oils in TerraOlivo 2020 is done by expert olive panel tasters of international prestige and only with the method of blind tasting.
The degree of difficulty is also complemented by the very large global competition but also mainly by the large number of participations, which for 2020 exceeded 500 olive oils from around the world, coming from 20 olive producing countries, with a very high level of quality.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms participated in the international competition of Israel, TerraOlivo International Olive Oil Competition 2020 with ten (10) specialized organic - gourmet olive oils and were honored with the number of ten (10) awards in all their olive oil samples, collecting very high scores from the expert judges. It is a unique number of awards for a Greek olive producer in the international competition in Israel.
