A major distinction of high prestige for a Greek olive producer with twelve (12) awards, was noted in Japan, for Sakellaropoulos organic farms, in the famous international olive oil competition JAPAN Olive Oil Prize Competition 2021.
It was held in Tokyo, from April 28 to 30, 2021. This international competition is considered one of the most professional olive oil competitions in the world because it applies very strict evaluation standards, based on the tasting methods set by the International Olive Oil Council.
It is ranked high in the world rankings and the tasting of olive oils at the JAPAN Olive Oil Prize Competition 2021, is done by expert panel tasters of international prestige with the method of blind tasting.
For 2021, hundreds of olive oils from 20 olive producing countries participated, such as Spain, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Tunisia, USA, Turkey, Israel, etc. with a very high level of quality.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms are considered the big winners of the competition, were honored with extremely high awards and specifically:
• With 1st place and the Best Flavored olive oil in Tokyo, at the Japan Olive Oil Prize 2021, with a score that exceeded 98%.
• With the Best In Class Flavored olive oil of Japan for 2021, with a score that exceeded 98%.
• With 5 gold and 5 silver awards, and scores ranging from 80 to 95%, they are classified in the Best Olive Oils JOOP 2021.
