An extremely honorable distinction by taste professionals for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, in the 6th edition of the OLYMP TASTE AWARDS 2021, which is specialized in the evaluation of quality food by distinguished chefs and tasters.
It took place in Athens, from 14 to 21 June 2021, for the 6th consecutive year. It is a meeting of the best food producers from Greece and abroad, a unique event on the subject of tasting unique products of the agricultural and food sector.
The high quality samples that participated exceeded nine hundred (900) and were tasted by numerous panels of judges under the auspices of the Ministries of Rural Development and Tourism, the Central Union of Chambers of Greece, the group for UNESCO Piraeus, CEUCO, the Club Acropolis - Chef's Club of Attica along with experts in the field of gastronomy from the Chefs' Club of Northern Greece, the Chefs' Club of Western Greece & Epirus as well as the Corfu Chefs' Club.
The samples were evaluated by the Olymp Awards Chef's Jury Panel, with Panel Leader Konstantinos Mouzakis, Mr.Chef Europe 2015, Director Gastronomy Club Unesco, Member WACS, and members of the judging panel with many well-known names, in the field of this beautiful complex knowledge and experience of the panel of judges. Indicatively, the well-known chefs of the Greek Presidential Republic, Thanasis Skouras and Vassilis Bekas, are mentioned.
It should be noted that all the products that participated in the competition were tested by the judges with the blind tasting method, without packaging, and without any kind of distinctive element. Each product is assigned a code to ensure their reliable tracking.
Each judge performed an organoleptic analysis of the tested product, and recorded a numerical score on the assessment sheet that represented the general sense as well as other criteria, such as appearance, smell, texture, taste, and oral sensation.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms participated in the international competition OLYMP TASTE AWARDS 2021, with nine (9) organic and gourmet table olives. Collecting extremely high scores from the judges of the competition, among others, they were honored for their olive product "Organic Olives KALAMON", with a score of 99% and a Platinum Award.
This honorary rating of 99% is the absolute and historical scoring record given to a competing product, from the beginning of the OLYMP TASTE AWARDS gastronomic competition so far. It is worth noting that no international competition awards products with a final score of 100%.
It is a very important international reward to achieve the specific score of 99% for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, for the table olives KALAMON, along with the very high scores of the rest of their olive samples, which collected 7 gold and 1 silver quality award by the Jury Panel of well-known professional Chefs at OLYMP TASTE AWARDS 2021.
