The highly honorable distinction of 12 international awards in 12 equal number of olive oil participations was achieved by Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, in the international competition Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards 2022 held in Berlin, Germany, April 15 - 29 2022.
At this major international competition in Berlin, which is one of the most prestigious and with the strictest criteria in the world ranking of olive oils, more than 870 olive oils from 30 olive-producing countries of the world participated, from countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Israel, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey, Argentina, Chile, USA, Croatia and more.
It is a global olive oil tasting competition with very high quality tasting and evaluation standards, that creates a list of the top olive oils every year, the Elite Olive Oils.
As expected from any credible international competition and according to the standards of the International Olive Oil Council, the process of blind tasting is followed, which means that the expert judges have no prior knowledge of the samples they test.
The panel of internationally renowned olive oil judges of Berlin GOOA 2022, who tested the participating olive oils, consists of scientists of great expertise but also specialized olive oil tasters, setting the standards for a reliable and innovative international oil competition, monitored by the EVOOWR World Ranking.
Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms participated with 12 organic and gourmet olive oils in total, and were honored respectively with 12 distinctions, achieving the absolute percentage of 100%, which is an extremely rare event in international competitions of such level and prestige.
