A series of prestigious distinctions was noted in Geneva, Switzerland, for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, with 2 gastronomic olive oils in the Best of Class and 9 awards in total, in the recognized European International Olive Oil Competition 2023.
The international competition European IOOC is an innovative concept for evaluating and showcasing olive oils that are at the highest quality levels worldwide, aiming to present them to European and international markets looking for exceptional quality olive oils.
Each year, the new edition of the international competition European IOOC is held in a different European city. For 2023, it was held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 14 to 16 May 2023, with great interest from the international olive sector. Hundreds of olive oils from many olive producing countries participated with a very high level of quality.
European IOOC is officially recognized by the EVOOWR global ranking of olive oils. The tasting of the olive oils in European IOOC is carried out by specialized olive oil tasters (expert panel tasters) of international prestige and from many countries of the world, exclusively with the blind tasting method, based on extremely strict criteria.
After the initial analysis of each olive oil, the panel of expert judges conducts an individual assessment of each olive oil sample in continuous phases, in order to conclude at the final ranking of the olive oils and the overall score.
On 18/05/2023, the announcement of the results of European IOOC 2023 took place. Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were honored with 9 awards in total and 2 of their gastronomic olive oils ranked in the Best of Class, a fact that is an important milestone for Greek olive growing.
