The official results of the biggest tasting competition worldwide, The Great Taste Awards for the year 2014, organized by the Guild of Fine Food, were released on August 11, 2014.

The International competition took place in London, where there is a 6 month advance preparation, and there are participants with high quality products and standards from all over the world.

The Great Taste Awards consist of the top tasting competition with a great number of sample products and participants,(this year’s products participating were over 19,000 samples), and the official expert panel tasters were over 400.

They are considered the “Oscar of taste” worldwide, whereas their gold stars are equivalent to the michelin stars at awarded restaurants. (“great taste is to speciality food and drink what michelin is to fine dining” ).

Sakellaropoulos Organic Farming was honored under the category of “extra virgin olive oil”, with one gold star for their olive oil “ARMONIKON". The same olive oil was honored in 2014 with a gold medal at the 19th International Competition For Organic Olive oil (BIOL 2014) which took place in Italy and was also honored with excellent reviews from expert olive oil tasting panel judges at Savantes, which took place in New York on February 2014.

It’s worth noting that this particular gold award is the 21st that Sakellaropoulos Organic Farming has been honored with during the last 3 years, (2012, 2013 &2014) at an international and global level, 12 of which are Great Taste Awards for 12 different products.
